2008 Steelers Resolutions
Art Rooney II: “I resolve to never allow the great Pittsburgh Steelers organization to ever have a mascot again. Yumpin Yiminy! What was I thinking? Steely McBeam? Sounds like a porn star! May God forgive me.”- Kevin Colbert (Steelers Head of Football Operations): “I resolve to acquire offensive linemen in the offseason to protect our number one asset - Ben Roethlisberger.”
- Anthony Smith: “I resolve to keep my mouth shut and play football. ‘Nuff said.”
- Bruce Arians & Dick LeBeau: “We resolve not to out-think ourselves when calling plays. Instead we’ll make sure we focus more on lining up and kicking our opponents in the teeth every down.”
Sean Mahan: “I resolve to be Mike Webster (circa 1978) reincarnated just in time for the playoffs.”- Willie Reid: “I resolve to be the kick returner the Steelers drafted me to be rather than the injury-prone fumble machine that I have been.”
- Charlie Batch: “I resolve to wear a helmet that makes me look less like an egghead. I don’t care if I do suffer a career-ending concussion. I can’t do this anymore. Did anyone see me on TV last week? I don’t want to be remembered as the football equivalent of those guys from the Star Wars cantina!”
- Aaron Smith: “I resolve to heal quickly… very quickly.”
Mike Tomlin: “I resolve to be more cool and collected on the sideline. After all, nobody likes a hothead. WWDD - What Would Dungy Do?”- Ike Taylor: “I resolve to actually intercept passes that are thrown right into my hands by opposing QBs instead of being the stone hands I have been my entire career.”
- Lawrence Timmons: “I resolve not to be a first round bust.”

We need to cut Reid and sign the mascot as a kick returner.

steelers look like a team that is on the up swing ,….. steelers 28- 20 over Jaxs, this team has not forgot the play-off play I think Ben will shine look for ward to grind it out , I like the Steelers being the under dog here this week not many are counting them in , I think they stop J,villes run just in time and make a un exsperianced Qb for the Jag,s to beat himself.

Ben Roethlisberger has proven himself as a QB, Willie Parker has proven himself as a RB, and the Steelers have Hines Ward, Santonio Holmes, & Heath Miller, now if they could land Cameron as the OC the Steelers offense would be a handful. Look at the stats that LT & Ronnie Brown put up under Cameron, Willie Parker has that ability to be special. I know that Parker was the NFL’s leading rusher before he got hurt, but he also had the most carries. Willie also didn’t have the long runs this season that he had in the past. And the Steelers have seemed unable to run the ball when they need to which unlike the Steelers. The Steelers offense also struggles in the redzone. These are all problems that Bruce Arians’ led offenses also had in Cleveland when he was the OC there. Cameron seems to get the most out of his RBs and knows how to use them. In SD he had Rivers, LT, & Gates….in Pittsburgh he’d have Big Ben, Fast Willie, & Heath Miller….along with Hines Ward & Santonio Holmes. Before Cameron got to Miami, they couldn’t run, they said the O-line was horrible, but with basically the same players Cameron had Ronnie Brown running all over people with basically no QB. I know Arians’ may still be under contract next year, but teams are always looking for better players, they should also be looking for better coaches. Cameron is an upgrade over Arians as an OC, so please Steelers, get Cameron as your OC.
